On July 22, 2026, officers with Patrol Services charged 18-year-old Allison Elkas with aggravated assault, robbery, assaulting peace officers, and other offences.
Around 11:10 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a robbery in the area of John Street and St. George’s Avenue West. Officers were dispatched to the scene. An investigation revealed the accused forcibly took an item from a victim and knocked them to the ground. The victim sustained serious physical injuries and was transported to hospital. The victim and accused are not known to one another.
Shortly after 3:00 p.m., officers located and arrested the accused. While being arrested, the accused kicked, scratched, and verbally threatened officers. Upon searching the accused, officers located a concealed knife.
The accused is charged with:
- Aggravated Assault
- Assault Peace Officer with Intent to Resist Arrest x2
- Carrying Concealed Weapon
- Resist Peace Officer
- Robbery
- Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
