Man Charged with Operation While Impaired
On February 8, 2022, officers with Patrol Services charged 39-year-old Mark Nelson with operation while impaired.
Around 11:30 p.m. officers attended in the 200 block of Bennett Boulevard at the request of EMS regarding a possible impaired driver. Upon arrival, officers observed the accused next to a vehicle which was in a snowbank. Upon speaking with the accused, officers developed grounds to believe his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.
He was arrested and later provided two samples into an approved device, registering two fail results. He is charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and/or drugs and impaired operation – blood alcohol concentration (80+). He was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on March 7, 2022.
