Man Charged with Break and Enter

On February 8, 2022, officers with Patrol Services charged 26-year-old Daniel Campbell with break and enter.

Around 2:20 a.m. officers responded to a call of a possible break and enter at a residence in the 100 block of Birch Street. Officers located a man a short distance from the residence, and he fled from police. Officers pursued on foot and observed him dropping property, later identified as being stolen from an outbuilding in the 100 block of Walnut Street.

Officers caught up with the accused, and at this time he pulled a knife and pointed it towards officers. Officers were able to disarm the accused and arrest him. A subsequent search found him to be in possession of approximately 1.45 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl and break in tools.

He is charged with,

  • Break and enter x2
  • Mischief Under $5,000 x3
  • Assault Peace Officer with a Weapon
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Resist Peace Officer
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Break in Tools
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order x3

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
