Dynamic Patrol Initiative
The most recent Dynamic Patrol initiative began on December 5, 2021 and concluded on December 19, 2021.
Throughout the two-week period, officers focused patrols on the downtown core between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
Because of the extra patrols, officers conducted the following,
- 53.5 Hours on Walking Patrol,
- Checked 436 Businesses,
- Spoke with 26 Business Owners or Employees,
- Issued Six Provincial Offences Notices,
- Spoke with 33 People, and
- Performed 16 Vehicle Checks.
“Officers continue to develop and enhance positive relationships with business owners, staff and people in the downtown because of Dynamic Patrols in the area,” says Acting Inspector of Emergency Management and Business Continuity Ben Bolduc. “Because of the successes of the initiative in 2021, we will look for opportunities to deploy Dynamic Patrols throughout the new year.”
Dynamic Patrol is an ongoing initiative to increase police presence in local neighbourhoods and near businesses. Deployment of officers will take place as necessary in various areas of the community.
