Additional Arrest Made/Charges Laid in Gore Street Assault
On September 18, 2025, officers with Patrol Services charged 26-year-old Spring Tremblay (hereafter referred to as the first accused) with assault causing bodily harm. Officers with the Division 2 Unit also charged 54-year-old Thomas Wierzbicki (hereafter referred to as the second accused) with additional offences in the same incident.
Around 12:10 p.m. on September 13, 2025, 911 Communicators received a report of an assault at a business in the 100 block of Gore Street. Officers were dispatched to the scene. Although the first accused had fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival, an investigation revealed the first accused kicked a staff member in the head multiple times, causing serious physical injuries. The victim was transported to hospital. A warrant was obtained for the arrest of the first accused.
After their initial arrest for assaulting the victim on September 13, 2025, further investigation revealed the second accused had also verbally threatened the victim and their property. A warrant was obtained for the arrest of the second accused on the additional charges.
Around 3:15 p.m. on September 18, 2025, officers located and arrested the first accused. Shortly thereafter, the second accused was also located and arrested.
The first accused is charged with:
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm
In addition to a previously laid charge, the second accused is charged with:
- Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
- Uttering Threats to Damage Property
Both accused were released on undertakings and are scheduled to appear in court on November 17, 2025.
