24th Person Charged in Project Kentucky
On April 15, 2025, detectives with the Drug Enforcement Unit, with assistance from the Anishinabek Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police, charged 25-year-old Nathan Pregent-Daoust of Garden River, Ontario, with trafficking a schedule I substance and possession of property obtained by crime. This additional arrest was made as part of Project Kentucky1.
On April 15, 2025, officers with the Anishinabek Police Service arrested the accused on the strength of a warrant and transported them to the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.
The accused is charged with:
- Traffick in Schedule I Substance (Cocaine)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5,000
- Failure to Comply with Undertaking
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
This arrest brings the total number of individuals charged in connection with Project Kentucky to 24, with a total of 234 charges laid to date.
